Cheese is one of those adaptable foods which can readily
accentuate a large variety of entrees, snacks, and side
dishes. It is produced through fermentation of milk and is
one of the oldest foods known to humans. From caravans
traversing the barren Asian steppes to suave sophisticates
consuming it in chic French restaurants, cheese is served
in the most isolated of locations to the most lavish and
has done so throughout the progression of civilization.

This specially prepared dairy product is utilized by cooks
for its unique texture and taste to produce favorites such
as cheese pizza, ravioli, and fondue. From chunky salad
dressing to creamy sauces like alfredo sauce, cheese is
prepared in a wide assortment of ways to adorn vegetables,
pastas, and even meats. How bland and empty would our
menus be without cheese to add its taste and texture
to some of our favorite dishes?

Another means of using cheese in popular recipes can be
found in a plethora of side dishes. Cheese for broccoli or
a topping for baked potatoes are just two of the ways in
which this luscious food can make a good thing even better.
You can buy asiago bread for sandwiches or sprinkle
Parmesan on many types of veggies, stews, or salads. Mix
cheese into scrambled eggs or fried potatoes for added
taste. How about a grilled cheese sandwich?

Snacks really come to life with the addition of this
healthy favorite. Think about cheese-flavored popcorn,
melted cheese on apple pie, or even string cheese on a
picnic. Chunks of cheese can become the life of any party,
especially when you add sliced lunchmeat or pickle halves.
Cream cheese goes well on bagels or most kinds of bread. It
also makes a terrific addition to many kinds of desserts,
such as frosting, cream pies, and certain kinds of muffins.

Any craving can usually be satiated with some form of
cheese or other irrespective of what you may have
originally been hungry for. Dieters will be glad to know
that they need not do without the great taste of cheese
because low-fat varieties are available. Instead of eating
that piece of cake you were saving for dessert, try
substituting some cheese chunks. Got cheese? Creamy,
white, yellow, mild, sharp, or even filled with holes,
there is definitely some kind of cheese out there that will
do it for you so don't pass the grocery store tonight on
your way home without stopping in to get some. On a
budget? There are always coupons out there to help you
bring home the cheese without breaking the bank.
